A Message to Our Community About Our Location
July 7th, 2025
We listened—and we care.
Over the past several weeks, we’ve received a great deal of feedback about our move to a new lot. While we had high hopes for the space, we’ve heard your concerns loud and clear. The negative feedback has affected not only foot traffic but also our vendors' sales and morale.
Our community means everything to us, and we truly value what each and every one of you has to say. That’s why we’re making a change. We’re excited to announce that the Capital City Public Market will return to The Grove Plaza starting this Saturday, July 12.
First, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Simplot for opening their arms to us and giving us the opportunity to try out the previous location. They were wonderful to work with, and we remain incredibly grateful for their support.
We also want to thank the Special Events Committee for being so helpful through the process, and to Boise Parks and Recreation, The Grove Plaza, and The Downtown Boise Association for welcoming us back to our longtime home in the heart of downtown Boise.
To our vendors, you are the heart of this market. Your commitment and resilience through all the ups and downs has been nothing short of inspiring. Despite challenges and changes, you’ve continued to show up and bring your incredible work to this community. We’re so proud to stand beside you.
And to our community: Thank you for supporting us.
Come visit us at our new-old home- The Grove Plaza (827 W Main Street) and along 8th Street between Main and Idaho- starting this Saturday, July 12, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. We remain committed to showcasing the best of Boise in the heart of downtown and will continue working closely with our many partners as we hope for a full return to Boise’s downtown streets one day—though no timeline or outcome is guaranteed.
We invite you to show up, shop small, and support the artists, farmers, and makers who pour their hearts into everything they create. We can’t wait to see your familiar faces again and to reconnect in the core of downtown where we belong.
With gratitude,
The Capital City Public Market Team
